Graduates are encouraged to participate in the Council. Volunteering your time back to the CERT program not only helps it grow, it helps you retain what you've learned, reinforces team cohesiveness, and gives you more opportunities to practice your new skills.

This committee actively pursues feedback from trainees in order to continually upgrade our CERT program and develops additional programs to help graduates further their training.

Remember how helpful it was to have live victims for your training exercise? Help train others by participating as a victim in Sunday exercises. Sign up ahead of time. Wear clothes that can be stained, torn, burned, cut, or otherwise victimized. The coordinators will guide you through the specifics. Email LaFaye
This committee has also been called upon to participate in training exercises for other municipalities and fire protection districts, as well as the 2005 HazMat/Terrorist Training Exercise designed to test the capabilities of local responders. Metro West FPD, Monarch FPD, Chesterfield Police Dept., St. Louis County Police Dept., and other participating agencies took part in the April 17th exercise held after hours at Chesterfield Mall. Victims got a new perspective of a large-scale local emergency response, rescuers in full-blown HazMat suits, and Decontamination.
